When Excitement Meets Discernment

When Excitement Meets Discernment

Great day everyone! How are you all feeling? Living? Expanding? Growing? Falling? Farting? lol (my inner child couldn’t help that one)

There’s a tender space I find myself in lately, where excitement is present, but so is discernment.

Where connection feels alive, energizing, and meaningful.  Yet I’m no longer willing to abandon myself for the feeling of potential.

In the past, intensity often masqueraded as intimacy.  Chemistry felt like certainty.  And momentum replaced presence.

But healing teaches us something quieter, something truer.

That safety matters as much as spark.  That curiosity is healthier than projection.  That we are allowed to ask grounded, real-life questions without guilt.

“Move at the speed of trust”  Treenz

Discernment isn’t fear.  It’s wisdom earned through experience.

It’s the part of us that can enjoy the excitement without rushing to define it.  That can stay in the body instead of leaping into the future.  That allows life to show us who someone is, over time, through actions.

I am learning that I don’t have to dim my openness to stay safe.  I simply need to stay present.

To let connection unfold naturally.  To notice how I feel after the interaction.  Calmer or dysregulated, expanded or contracted.  To trust the slow reveal.

“You don’t need to hurry what is meant to stay” Treenz

This season isn’t about closing the heart.  It’s about anchoring it.

Maybe this is an invitation for you too.  To welcome what feels good without abandoning what feels true.

I’m feeling a deep connection to the turtle lately.  The turtle reminds us, you don’t need to rush to arrive.  Discernment over urgency with slow, intentional movement.  Grounded safety, carrying home within.  Staying embodied, knowing when to pause and observe.
