What Is Truth

“People try so hard to let go of their negative behaviours and thoughts, and it doesn’t work, or works only for a short time. I didn’t let go of my negative thoughts; I questioned them, and then they let go of me, and so did my addictions and depression.”

— Byron Katie —

IS IT TRUE?

Hello Sacred Wood Family,

I just want to thank all of you for doing this work. As we all know, our outer world shifts when we do the inward work. Isn’t it miraculous how that works? For myself, I have noticed a softening, melting into the acceptance of what is without resistance or doing wrong, and as a result, the world softens. It is a daily practice of being committed to the truth.

For this month’s newsletter, I feel inspired to write about the inquiry of, ‘Is it True?’ By this, I mean questioning your thoughts and beliefs. Are they true? The investigation into what is true can awaken new possibilities and help people live a more peaceful life. When there is the experience of believing the thoughts, life can feel more challenging and stressful because, most of the time, our thoughts are not true. Playing a little game with yourself and feeling what those thoughts feel like when you believe them, vs. not believing them, is an excellent way of understanding.

“Reality is always kinder than your thinking.”

— Byron Katie —

Byron Katie’s book, A Thousand Names for Joy, also speaks about the inquiry, ‘The Work.’ The work consists of four questions, which is a way of experiencing the opposite of what you believe.

1. Is it true?

2. Can you know that it’s true?

3. How do you react when you believe that thought?

4. Who would you be without the thought?

Byron Katie’s message is jaw-dropping and mind-blowing. I hope you enjoy her work as much as I have.

“Life is simple. Everything happens for you, not to you. Everything happens at exactly the right moment. Neither too soon nor too late. You don’t have to like it….it’s just easier if you do.”

FINDING WORDS FOR A JAGUAR 5-MeO-DMT EXPERIENCE

INTRODUCING THE FOX (5-MeO-DiPT)

At Iboga Journey, we have been offering a Jaguar experience on the concluding Sunday of an Iboga meditation weekend. As expected, people’s feedback has been remarkable. In summary, people often say it was the most loving, moving experience in their life but do not have words to describe it. The Jaguar experience is typically only a 15-minute experience, which individuals try three times over an hour and a half. Jaguar has brought many of our friends and family incredible healing and is a fantastic complement to Iboga.

People are curious — is there a way to slow down the Jaguar experience and remember more clearly what happened? Yes, there is — similar to Ayahuasca, there is a way to stretch the experience to six or seven hours. Let’s spend a few minutes on chemistry and the example of Ayahuasca to explain. Ayahuasca is not a plant, but a brew or mixture of several plants, of which one contains DMT, the active ingredient in Jaguar. DMT is fast-acting, and the reason why the Jaguar experience is only 15 minutes. The combination has two essential ingredients, the Bniseriopsis Caapi (caapi) vine and the Psychotria Viridis (viridis) shrub. The combination of the plants allows the DMT in the viridis shrub to be extended from a 15-minute experience to many hours. If people took the viridis shrub alone, the experience would only be 15 minutes. The shamans were inspired, and figured out how to use the combination of the plants to affect the chemistry and extend the experience.

Similarly, Fox’s chemistry provides a related experience to Jaguar, but slows the experience down to six or seven hours. The experience often can be described as having a blanket of love spread over a person, and they can focus on what inside of them does not resonate with that love. Often, people will consider relationships, divine love, and their relationships with intimacy and sexuality. In addition, many people identify attachments, actual or figurative, that they wish to remove from their bodies ceremonially. Friends and family have noted that they feel their hearts have become more open, and they can release the pieces that are holding them back from receiving and sharing unconditional love. We are all a blend of masculine and feminine energy; this medicine is very useful in helping heal wounds that have been hurtful to our feminine energy.

The Fox is no longer available globally and is no longer produced. Thankfully, our intuition told us to buy and stockpile this medicine earlier in the year when it was available. We are excited to offer a one-day retreat on Saturday, January 28, in Calgary, starting at 10 am until the early evening, for our readers. The participation cost, including the location, medicine, support and light refreshment, will be $333.
