The last month of the year is here. Although everything seems to pick up pace as we near the holidays, December can inspire stillness and peace. The commercial influence is strong but without resistance to it, we can tune in to the undercurrents of this amazingly powerful month.

Whether you are sharing with loved ones or on your own, the global love in this season is a collective energy felt when we take time to be still. December holds magic for us all – inspiring wonder and awe. Here is a beautiful reminder to stop, take a breath and make the most of the stillness that is there to be found around us and within us, even when things seem chaotic.

” December stillness, teach me through your trees
That loom along the west, one with the land,
The veiled evangel of your mysteries.

While nightfall, sad and spacious, on the down
Deepens, and dusk imbues me where I stand,
With grave diminishings of green and brown,

Speak roofless Nature, your instinctive words;
And let me learn your secret from the sky,
Following a flock of steadfast journeying birds
In lone remote migration beating by.

December stillness, crossed by twilight roads,
Teach me to travel far and bear my loads.”

—Siegfried Sassoon

IbogaJourney’s 2016 sessions were a beautiful, dynamic representation of the vast spectrum of possibilities from meeting Iboga through the stillness. We have the deepest respect for all of you who have courageously turned inward to realize that it’s not about more answers, it’s about less questions. Although the drive to seek is part of this movement, often the result is a surrender to life itself. Into ‘not-knowingness.’

“We can use our minds like we use a chair. When we are finished with it, we need not carry it around.”

The IbogaJourney 2017 winter/spring schedule is open for inquiries. February is now more than half full and March one quarter full. There may be extra dates added if the interest calls for it.
